Two restaurants in Copenhagen have earned a second Michelin star
After much speculation, the wait is finally over: the Michelin guide has unveiled the Nordic Countries Stars for 2020.
The awards were announced on Monday 17th February at a special launch event at the Olavshallen Concert Hall in Trondheim in Norway.
Gwendal Poullennec, the International director of the Michelin Guides, welcomed Rasmus Munk from Alchemist and Eric Kragh Vildgaard from Jordnær into the Michelin family.
Commenting on the new two stars, Poullennec said:
– “While they are very different, what they share is a real passion for sourcing and seasonality. Alchemist is a 50+ course immersive experience which brings plenty of originality to the table and Jordnær sees well-crafted, delicate dishes.
Also with Jordnær in Copenhagen, Tina Kragh Vildgaard was awarded the prestigious Welcome & Service Award for the year 2020.
