Renaissance Converts your RPL code to BASIC

Renaissance converts programs written in RPL (Realtime Programming Language) into SMA compatible Pick Basic. Basic programs are emitted which duplicate the functionality of the submitted RPL programs. Renaissance creates Basic code from RPL based application software, and actually converts such things as user exits to standard Basic. Software converted with Renaissance runs using no Assembler routines. Even those undocumented features in RPL (which some are bound to use, despite advice) are converted to standard Basic.

Renaissance offers a painless migration path out of the constraints imposed by software developed in RPL.  No more third party support, no more restriction to someone else's selection of hardware/DBMS platforms, and no more worry about new releases and support of new features.

RPL instructions are converted to 100% compatible SMA standard Pick Basic code. Even obscure and undocumented features of RPL instructions are duplicated exactly. Very high conversion efficiencies are being attained with our conversion tools. You can expect that over 99% of the RPL programs submitted for conversion will convert completely, and the balance will be adjusted for you. Converted code runs with all versions of Pick from Pick Systems, IBM Software's uniVerse, and Unidata.

All converted programs contain SMA compatible statements with calls to out of line runtime library routines which can be optimized for any given Pick or Pick-like operating system. A standard runtime library is included for a number of popular versions of the operating system. The availability of called subroutines with their own unique variables and passed arguments and more powerful instructions available in Basic can add new levels of flexibility and performance to existing code.
