The CLaM Quality
and SPC Module addresses the specific
requirements of formula-based manufacturers. All parameters are user-definable. Charting
methods are flexible, fully utilizing the accumulated data.

| Test Definition allows the entry of typical quality control tests such as viscosity, weight per gallon and weight solids. It also allows the entry of tests such as pencil hardness which do not have numeric. Attribute tests for total defects or total number of defective pieces may be created. Factors such as mill loader and shift, which have non-chartable 'results', may also be defined for later availability in correlation analysis. |
Test Assignment allows tests to be assigned to specific formulas or raw materials. Easily specify the high and low specifications for use in quality control batch approval and capability charting. Specify if batch test results must be within specification for batch approval.
| Results Entry is simple, non-redundant and readily available on the screen. Results entry for successive adjustment hits, with full display of all previous results and adjustments is featured, and the system 'flags' the user when the batch is within spec. A full batch report is available showing assigned formula standards, all test results, and adjustments, and full comments on an adjustment basis. |
Charting is allowed for any formula or raw material. Attribute charting is allowed on grouped tests of variable data. Actual and coded values are available. 'Herned' values for charting across batches are used when appropriate. Query reports are available for the control charts which correspond to the points plotted. Capability charts are available for control charts of variable data where specification limits exist. Correlation statistics are available in both the Spearman Rho and Pearson R methods.
